Shannon is currently on maternity leave for her homebirth from December 2024-December 2025, following the European standard for maternal care and leave.
This standard leads to better outcomes for mom and baby, increased bonding time with the newborn, improved maternal mental health, potential for better child development and increased workforce participation for women.

Hi! My name is Shannon Henderson.
I’m a holistic doula, homebirth student midwife and graduate of Ancient Art Midwifery Institute. I am passionate about teaching women how a physiologic pregnancy, birth and postpartum can help them to have less tearing, less postpartum anxiety and depression, smoother transitions, no prenatal nausea and more!
My favorite things are: farmers markets, good books, tea, traveling, rock climbing and hiking.
